Candle Care

Some tips to keep your candle looking and smelling its best!

The First Burn Is Important

Burn for at least 2 hours or until the wax is melted all the way to the edges of the jar to prevent an uneven burn, and to imprint the candle memory.

Our candles are created to burn cleaner and longer. We recommend an optimal burn time of 2 - 4 hours per session. Doing so allows the candle fragrance to distribute and the soy to melt evenly to the sides of the candle.

Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours.

Trim Your Wick

After your first burn, keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" to ensure that your candle is burning gently. If your wick is too long, it can smoke and burn quicker. If it is too short, it will not burn as well and could lead to tunnelling.

You may notice a 'mushrooming' on your wick, regular trimming will prevent this. Allow the candle to fully cool before trimming and relighting.

Avoid Direct Sunlight & Heat Sources

Candles will lose their scent and may discolour when placed in direct sunlight. When burning multiple candles, place them apart to prevent uneven burning.

Reuse Your Container

Once your candle has 1/2" of wax left, use hot water and soap to clean out the remaining wax.

Some great examples of how you can reuse your jar include a tea/spice container, makeup brush holder, or a succulent pot.
